-PEA (Palmitoylethanolamide) was first identified in the 1950’s as a therapeutic substance with potent properties. Research on PEA has been conducted since its discovery and near 350 papers are referenced in PubMed describing its physiological properties and role as an endogenous modulator with therapeutic effects. PEA is widely considered for its inflammation management and analgesic properties. It is reported that it acts on down regulating mast cell degranulation at local sites in the body, therefore exerting and antagonistic action against discomfort receptor stimulation.
-PEA is a naturally occurring endogenous fatty acid in the body. However, in this supplementation form, PEA is naturally synthesized from sustainably sourced palmitic acid. In the body, PEA acts as a biological response mediator and helps the repair mechanism, potentiating its action as an endocannabinoid receptor. It helps benefit human health by exerting a variety of biological functions related to chronic pain and discomfort. Through research, it has shown to work more effectively the longer it is taken.
-Levagen®+ is a naturally sourced, scientifically researched form of PEA (Palmitoylethanolamide.) Levagen®+ provides PEA in a special delivery system that works as an endogenous endocannabinoid receptor. PEA can be commonly isolated from soybeans, peanuts and egg yolks, while the Levagen+ source of the ingredient is from sustainably sourced palmitic acid, so it is suitable for vegans. Levagen+ is suitable for both acute and long-term use for pain and discomfort.
