SUPERIOR IRON contains the highly absorbable, non-constipating formulation with important co-factors for optimal absorption & utilisation by the body. How Does it Work? Iron is particularly important to vegans. While iron can obtained from plant foods it is not as efficiently absorbed by the body as iron from animal sources. Xcel Superior Iron contains ferrous bis-glycinate chelate, which research suggests may be more bioavailable than other forms of iron such as ferrous sulfate. Ferrous bisglycinate is made up of one molecule of iron, bound to two molecules of the amino acid glycine. Studies show ferrous bis-glycinate helps increase and maintain blood levels of iron, while being gentle on the stomach and intestines. Xcel Superior Iron combines the metabolically active form of Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin), necessary for oxygen transport in red blood cells and enhancing enzyme reactions controlling energy, circulation and hormones, folate (L-5-methylcobalamin) (5-MTHF) with the well absorbed iron bis-glycinate – for an optimal blood-building supplement. Vitamin C as Calcium Ascorbate is added to enhance iron’s absorption.

We offer FREE track and trace delivery within New Zealand on all orders over $79.
For orders under $79, we only charge $5.90 for courier delivery to anywhere in NZ. This includes RD addresses and PO Boxes.
