Zinc

Zinc has a great many functions in the body. It helps the body absorb vitamins, including the B complex vitamins, and is part of at least 25 enzymes involved in metabolism and digestion. It is part of insulin, which helps the body use glucose and is a component of the enzyme that’s used to break down alcohol. Zinc helps the body synthesise nucleic acid, supports growth and development and is crucial in wound and burn healing.
